We’ve been using essential oils now for almost twenty years, both in our
soaps and for our own uses. They are very different from the man made
fragrance oils fabricated by the chemists. Essential oils are derived
from specific plants through steam distillation or some other extraction
process. Many have aromatherapy uses, some people use them medicinally,
some oils you can even cook with. However, we don’t suggest and please
don’t try any self medication with essential oils. We don’t pretend to
be experts, let alone doctors. Remember, these are highly concentrated
oils and can be harmful if used inappropriately. Learning about these
oils is a life-long pursuit.
 If you’d like to learn more about the uses and abilities of essential
oils, we recommend books by a pair of sisters.
The Complete Book of
Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood is more than just
casual nighttime reading.
Essential Aromatherapy: A Pocket Guide to
Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Susan Worwood is a book that we’ve
pretty well worn out. Both books have more info than most people will
ever remember.
We do some tinctures and blends of our own, but we do not make these
oils. Our sources are manufacturers and wholesalers that we’ve learned
to trust over twenty years of obtaining and using essential oils.
We believe these oils are unadulterated and pure essential oils.
The oils we’ve listed here are probably the best known and most
requested. We offer them in the ½ ounce and 1 ounce bottles. If you’ve
ever come by the Farmers Market or one of the many shows we participate
in, then you know that we have many more available. Let us know what
